Johnny F. Boyea, 61, rural Fall Creek, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, as a result of a bow hunting accident in the Town of Sigel, Chippewa County.
Johnny Frank, son of John and Winifred (Glenz) Boyea was born October 10, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI. He spent most of his life in the rural Cadott and Fall Creek area. He was baptized and confirmed at the English Lutheran Church in Bateman and later transferred his membership to St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek. Johnny graduated from Cadott High School in 1969, and while in high school he enjoyed wrestling. On December 19, 1970 he was united in marriage to Janet Dehnke at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek. Johnny and Janet lived most of their married life in the area, except for 2 years when they lived in Oregon and Idaho, moving back to rural Fall Creek in 1979. Johnny worked as a pipe insulator for the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local Union # 34. Due to health problems he was forced to retire in 2009. Johnny loved spending time outdoors especially cutting wood, hunting, fishing, throwing horseshoes and swimming. His wife and children meant the world to him and when their daughter Stacy was in the U.S. Navy he was fortunate to go aboard the USS Ronald Reagan and take part in two family Tiger Cruises.
Johnny will be deeply missed by Janet, his wife of nearly 43 years, 2 sons, Scott and Sara Boyea of Cottage Grove, MN, Chad Boyea of Cadott; 2 daughters, Stacy Boyea of Imperial Beach, CA, Christy Boyea of Fall Creek; 3 grandsons, Bryce, Joshua and Logan Boyea all of Cottage Grove, MN; mother, Winifred Boyea of Cadott; 2 brothers, Dan (Joan) Boyea of Fall Creek, William (Deborah) Boyea of Cadott; Janet’s siblings Lucille (Walter) Webinger of Menomonie, Evelyn Kinderman, Debra and Joann Dehnke, Douglas (Karla) Dehnke all of Eau Claire, Doris (Ernest) Dehnke, Norma Dehnke, Virginia (Eugene) Jaenke, Duane (Dorothy) Dehnke, Vernon (Kathy) Dehnke all of Fall Creek; several nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father on April 14, 2010, grandparents and Stacy’s fiancée, Jovahnie “JoJo” Otei.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek, with Pastor Larry Borgelt officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
