Lora Jean Flick, (Scoville), 55 years old of 201 Camp Rd. Fairchild, WI, passed away Sunday morning at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. A life so soon to release to heaven, left on earth we wonder why, but some are sent among us briefly and some have spirits meant to fly.
Lora Jean was born January 5, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, to Crystal (Beecher) and Richard Scoville. A a teenager she moved to Wisconsin and attended Lincoln High School in Alma Center. She later attended Chippewa Valley Technical College for fashion merchandising. Lora was united in marriage to Tom Flick on February 14, 2002, and the couple made their home in Fairchild. She had been employed for the last 16 plus years at the Cenex (C-Store ) in Fairchild. Those who encountered her always left with a smile on their face and more humor in their day. Lora loved to spend her non-working time with family and friends, swimming, cooking, gardening, shopping, going to thrift sales, planning and attending parties, especially Halloween parties and 4th of July gatherings. She loved doing things for her family, having everyone all together enjoying themselves and she was always keeping us entertained with such a wonderful sense of humor. An encounter with Lora meant you were going to have a better day and hopefully pass it on. Her spirit and memories will live on with us forever. As a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, it’s impossible to count how many lives she touched with her selfless, uplifting and beautiful spirit. We will carry her in our hearts forever.
She is now reunited with her father, Richard Scoville, infant son Matthew and grandparents, Russell and Wilma Beecher who had lived in Potosi, WI.
