Norman F. Henning, son of Rudolph and Alma (Dobrenz) Henning, was born June 11, 1936 in rural Augusta. He attended school in Augusta, and graduated from Augusta High School.
Norman had been employed by Bush Brothers Canning Company in Augusta, until ill health forced his retirement. When able, he helped his brothers on the family farm as much as he could. He entered the Trempealeau County Healthcare Center in Whitehall on November 13, 2008. He was baptized with his family on May 12, 1975, into the Jehovah Witness religion. He was a member of the Osseo Congregation of the Jehovah Witnesses.
Norman passed away late Friday evening, July 19, 2013, in the nursing home area of the healthcare center. He had reached the age of 77 years, 1 month and 3 days.
Norman is survived by his brother, Julius Henning of Augusta, Rudolph and Rozan Henning of Augusta; sister, Margaret and Frank Draeger of Augusta; brother-in-law, Carl Kuhn of Pewaukee; nephews, Andy and Danielle Kuhn, Rudy and Sussie Draeger ; four nieces, Beth and Jacey Penigar, Amy Bentzler, Wensdae Nelson, Elaine Imm and their children, Dean, Tess, Ethan, Sarah, Luke, Michael, Lori, Jacob, Kenny, Moriah, John and their families ; uncle Herbert Henning of Augusta; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father on June 16, 1979, mother on April 12, 2002, sister, Elsie Kuhn in 2002 and brother, Victor in 2009 .
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
