Mary Bessie Klatt, 88, of Eau Claire went home to be with Jesus, Friday, Dec.6, 2013 at the Mayo Health System-Eau Claire, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born Aug. 11, 1925 at the family farm in Guenther, WI, the daughter of John and Hazel (Williams) Duberstein. She married Lloyd Klatt on Feb. 7, 1944 in Green Bay. The couple lived most of their married life in Wisconsin, living 11 years in Fairchild before moving to Eau Claire in 1963. Mary most recently resided at Country Terrace in Menomonie.
Mary enjoyed making jewelry, reading and embroidery. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, fishing and playing games.
Mary is survived by her children, James (Carol) Klatt of Eau Claire, Nancy Klatt of Galesville, and Virginia (Lynn Sr. ) Westley of Eau Claire; 6 grandchildren and 7 great children.
She is further survived by her sisters, Verna Goetzke, Carol Jean (Dale) Hintz; brothers, Charles (Margaret) Duberstein, Lafayette Duberstein, William (Carol) Duberstein, Julius Duberstein, John (Vivian) Duberstein; brother-in-law, Gerald (Irene) Klatt; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Lloyd in 1977, siblings, Jacob, Maximillian, Emil, Kathryn, Lucille and brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Wed. Dec. 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with burial in the Fairchild Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
