Robert E. Lubinski, 78, of the Fall Creek Commons, passed away early Saturday morning, March 16, 2013, at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center, while in the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.Â
Robert Eric Lubinski, son of Robert and Modesto “Maudieâ€? (Kuklinski) Lubinski was born June 16, 1934, in Winona, Minnesota, and raised in nearby Bluff Siding, Wisconsin. Robert served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960, and during the Berlin Crisis he was apart of the called up 32 Infantry Red Arrow Division and served a one year tour in the state of Washington. In 1971, Robert moved to his farm just south of Osseo, which he farmed until the late 1980’s, when he moved into the city of Osseo.Â
While in the Osseo area he was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church of Whitehall and a member of the local Knights of Columbus. He eventually moved to Elk Mound, Wisconsin, before moving to Fall Creek, where he had lived at Wonder Haven and later moved into the Fall Creek Commons. Â
Robert is survived by his 6 children, Robert Lubinski of River Falls, Ronald Lubinski of Hudson, Debra and her husband, Alan Erickson of Strum, Michelle Albertson of Hudson, Anita Soll and Scott Lubinski both of Osseo; 7 grandchildren, Brandon Lubinski and Val, Cody Erickson, Nicholas Lubinski, Miranda Erickson, Jacob Erickson, Brianna Albertson and Devon Soll; step grandson, Lucas and his wife, Amanda Erickson; 2 step great grandchildren, Brook and Blake Erickson; and special friend, Phyllis Strauch of Fall Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lorraine Kamrowski.Â
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Â
A visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with services following at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Â
