Seth S. Szydel, 18, of Altoona, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Â
Seth Siguard Szydel, son of Steven and Doris (Paganucci) Szydel was born Jan. 5, 1995 in Eau Claire. He was raised in Altoona, baptized at Evangel Assembly of God Church in Eau Claire, attended Pederson Elementary School and was currently a sophomore at Altoona High School. Seth enjoyed working with the school work program at Hope Gospel, sorting and filling boxes for the food pantry and filling bargain bags for the thrift store. He helped with washing dishes at Oak Gardens Assisted Living in Altoona, and in school delivered balloons and sorted milk caps as a school fund raising project through Kwik Trip. Seth enjoyed going to McDonald’s for a cheeseburger, having pizza, playing Zelda on his Nintendo, and listening to music, especially Johnny Cash and Elvis. He always enjoyed the times horseback riding and riding motorcycle with his father. Seth will be remembered as a young man with a loving heart who had a warm “high 5� for everyone. He will always be remembered as "OUR LITTLE BUDDY"
Seth will be deeply missed by his parents, Steve and Doris of Altoona; siblings, Sean, Zachary and Sierra Szydel all of Altoona; grandmothers, Hilma Szydel of Fairchild and Norma McLean of Apache Junction, AZ; aunts and uncles, Darryl Paganucci of Covington, WA, Drew and Debbie Paganucci of the state of Oregon, Dina Paganucci of Kent, WA, Gale and Patricia Szydel of Chippewa Falls, Montie and JoAnn Szydel of Athens, Terry and Jacqe Szydel of Osseo, Kevin and Elena Szydel of Fairhope, AL, Carlotta and Ken King of Eleva, Sherri and Stephen Brown of New Richmond, Pam and Charles Brevik of Holman; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Andrew Szydel and Dino Paganucci. Â
Seth’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful Altoona teachers that Seth came in contact with throughout his life. Your kind approach and genuine concern for him will never be forgotten.Â
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, with burial in the Fairchild Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Â
