Dorathy Baker
Dorathy A. Baker, 81, of rural Augusta, passed away Monday afternoon, August 18, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, surrounded by her loving family. 

Dorathy Ann Baker was born Nov. 6, 1932 in Colfax, WI, the daughter of Albert and Lillie (Graves) Green. As a child she moved to rural Augusta in Wilson Township, where she attended Evergreen Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1950. Dorathy was united in marriage to Richard Baker on Sept. 12, 1953 in Augusta. The couple lived most of their married life in Ludington Township. For several years Dorathy was employed by the Woodworking Factory in Stanley. Dorathy enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and watching the local wildlife, especially the birds. She really loved the time spent fishing and camping on Prairie Lake in Chetek, spending time with her family and the many trips out west to see her children and grandchildren.  

Dorathy will be deeply missed by Richard, her husband of nearly 51 years; 2 sons, Gregory Baker of Hill City, S.D, Michael (Jill) Baker of Augusta; daughter, Ramona Van Horn of Long Beach, Mississippi; grandson, Scott (Lorien Graysay) of Devils Tower, WY; 3 granddaughters, Angela (Tim) Ross of Hill City, S.D, Ashley Skaare of Rapid City, S.D, Cassie Galinda of Eau Claire; 10 great grandchildren and several very special nieces and nephews .  

Dorathy was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Patrick and Neal Baker; sisters, Irene Drehmel, Fay Drehmel, Betty Drehmel; and brothers, James, Elmer and Laurence Green. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington Township, with Pastor Ricky Bertels officiating. Burial will be in the Ludington Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
