Elaine Lowman
Elaine F. Lowman, 96, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. 

Elaine Freda Lowman, daughter of Fredrik and Letitia (Rowe) Albrecht was born March 5, 1918 in Lincoln Township, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Elaine was baptized on April 14, 1918 by Pastor O. List at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, and confirmed by Pastor B. Spalding on August 21, 1932 at St. James Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. As a child Elaine attended Oak Ridge Country School. On May 24, 1936, Elaine was united in marriage to Lester O. Lowman at the Methodist parsonage in Augusta. The couple lived and raised their family in Ludington Township. After Lester passed away on Nov. 5, 1977, Elaine continued to live in Ludington until moving to the West Coast in 1982. She returned to Wisconsin in 1992, making her home in Mercer, before moving back to Augusta in 1998. Elaine was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington, and actively served in its’ ladies aid.  

Elaine is survived by her 2 sons, Lynn and Shirley Lowman of Kalama, Washington, Phillip and Lynda Lowman of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; daughter, Alice and Dennis Young of Black River Falls; sister, Doris Irwin of Chippewa Falls; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Arnold Albrecht, daughter Jean Lowman and grandsons, Jason Wiese and Dennis Lowman.  

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington Township, with Pastor Cal Siegel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in memory of Elaine. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
