Bill Bailey
William “Bill” George Bailey, 79, of rural Fall Creek, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire with his loving family by his side.

Bill was born July 22, 1936, in Ashland, Wisconsin, the son of John and Agnes (Swanson) Bailey. During his childhood, he lived in Rosholt, Cameron, Wheeler and Fall Creek. At 16, he moved to Elgin, Illinois, where he worked at McGraw Toastmaster Company. While living in Elgin, he met Barbara Morgan of Dexter, Missouri. The couple was married on January 28, 1956, in Dexter, MO. They continued working and living in Elgin, until moving to Fall Creek in 1957. He delivered milk house to house for Goldseal and Oak Park Dairies. In 1966, he began working for Sterling Pulp and Paper/Pope and Talbot Paper Mill where he retired after 29 ½ years of service. 

While working full-time, Bill and Barbara built their Fall Creek home. Bill enjoyed raising angus beef cattle and growing crops. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Elgin, IL, and transferred membership the Eau Claire Church of the Nazarene. Bill and Barbara were instrumental in building the Eleva-Strum Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed his involvement in the construction of the church and parsonage, volunteering wherever needed, and serving as the church treasurer. 

Bill cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by Barbara, his wife of 59 years and 8 months; two daughters, Sheila (Kevin) Morden of Fall Creek, Ramona (Bryan) Sedlander of Altoona; four grandchildren, Alexis (Jon) Kollmer, Melina (Cliff) Morden-Varner, Bailey (Matt) Hazen, and Andrew Mayer (Brittany Selin); five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Curtis, Hayden, Addison, and Broghan.  

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son, Allan William Bailey on September 25, 2003, and grandson, Charles William Sedlander on May 1, 2011, and great-grandchild, Baby (Lemondrop) Kollmer on November 7, 2013.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Free Evangelical Church of Fall Creek, located just east of Fall Creek on County Road D. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Ludington Cemetery on County Road N, rural Fall Creek.
