Adam Bauch
Adam J. Bauch, 36, of Augusta, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, December 12, 2015 at his apartment.

Adam Jay Bauch, son of Elvin “Junior” and Renee (Green) Bauch was born June 13, 1979 in Eau Claire and was raised with his siblings in rural Augusta. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, attended school in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School in 1998. Following graduation Adam was employed for several years at Copps Food in Eau Claire.

Adam struggled with heart problems all of his life, starting as a small infant with his first open heart surgery. As a young adult his illness only progressed which forced him to terminate his employment and eventually required placement on the heart transplant list. The call finally came and Adam underwent heart transplant surgery on May 26, 2012 in Rochester. After a 3 month hospital stay he returned to Augusta, where for 3 and half more years his family, friends and who ever he passed on the street were treated to one of his constant warm and infectious smiles.

At the age of 16 Adam became an Augusta-Bridge Creek Fire Cadet and as soon as he turned 18 he attended Fire 1 and Fire 2 Training to become a member of the Augusta-Bridge Creek Volunteer Fire Department. His nearly 20 year involvement with the department meant the world to him. He looked forward to the Wednesday night meetings and even as his health deteriorated the department found jobs that suited his capability so he could still contribute.
Since his confirmation Adam had played dartball and enjoyed throwing darts with his dad and grandfather on the 2nd League Team for Bethlehem Lutheran. He also cherished the time spent fishing and hunting with family and friends and the camaraderie that went with it, as well as watching and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Adam grew up in a loving family surrounded by his immediate and extended family. He was blessed to have had grandparents such as Grandma and Grandpa Green that played such an important role in his life. Through his family's experience with the foster program, Adam was an admired big brother to many.

Adam will be dearly missed by his parents, Junior and Renee of Augusta; brothers, Corey and April Bauch of Augusta, Darin and Kelly Bauch of Silverdale, WA, Brandon Bauch of Augusta; sisters, Kia Bauch (Amanda Diaz), Jenna Bauch and Kenzie Bauch all of Augusta; many aunts, uncles, cousins, many close friends too many to mention and especially his fireman family. Adam was welcome to heaven into the opened arms of loving grandparents, Lorenzo and Donna Green.

Memorial services honoring the life of Adam will be held Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington Township, rural Fall Creek. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will begin at noon on Thursday at the church.
