Pete Biegel
Arthur (Pete) Frederick Biegel, 81, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born in the Town of Bridge Creek, rural Augusta, on October 23, 1933, the youngest of five children born to Otto and Charlotte ( McGough) Biegel.

Pete lived all of his life in Bridge Creek Township, where he attended the Dells Mill Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1952. He attended college for a short time before deciding that farming was where it was at. He spent the remainder of his life farming on top of the hill, a lifestyle for him that he truly enjoyed and took pride in. In addition to farming he was employed for several years by American Breeders Services out of DeForest, WI.
Pete was united in marriage to Geri Minto on April 24, 1965,
and to this union their two children, Mary and Robert were born.

Pete gave back to his community through his membership with the Augusta Lions Club, having served in the various offices including president. He had also served on the Augusta School Board, where he held the position as board president. Pete loved his many nights of bowling in Neillsville and in Augusta. He also loved deer hunting with his good friends on Biegel Hill and then rehashing the day at Sportsman’s Bowling Alley. With long time friends he also enjoyed the many ice fishing trips.
Pete will be deeply missed by Geri, his wife of 50 years; daughter, Mary Biegel of Mosinee; son, Robert Biegel (Chrissy Erickson) of Augusta; and grandson Wyatt Biegel of Augusta.
He is further survived by various nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Charlotte; brothers and their wives, John and Terri, Robert and Toots, and James and Barbara Biegel; and sister and her husband, Katie and Ray Peterson.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Augusta Lions Hall on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital who took such great care of Pete during his short stay. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
