Roger S. Hagen, 84, of Osseo, died Tuesday in hospice care at the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation.
Roger was born Feb. 25, 1932 in Whitehall, the son of Ralph and Neva (Andrus) Hagen. He married Barbara Zillmer on April 24, 1965 in Jenoa, Ill. Roger farmed all of his life; working for himself, 30 years for Ronald and Lyman Hagen and also for Donald Olson. During this time he lived in Sumner Township, rural Osseo, before moving into the city of Osseo in 1986. Due to a back related disability he retired from farming in 1993, but for many years was still able to mow the lawn of France Hagen. When his health was better he did enjoy hunting and fishing.
Roger will be dearly missed by his step son, Kenneth and Melissa Harriman of Fall Creek and their children, Rachel and Jacob; several cousins; and special friends, Damon and Barbara LaRose of Augusta and their family.
His wife Barbara preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 2005A visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be at a later date in the Osseo Cemetery.
