Ronald L. Iverson, 55, of Fairchild, passed away early Monday afternoon, May 2, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, following a year long illness.
Ronald Lee Iverson, son of Richard and Dolores (Thompson) Iverson was born Dec. 30, 1960 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He grew up in Waukesha where he graduated from high school and then moved with his family to Fairchild in 1982. With family members Ron helped operated the Iverson Barrel Inn Tavern in Fairchild, and also drove dump truck while owning and operating Ron Iverson Trucking Company. He eventually worked in masonry construction before taking a job working on the railroad. Due to a job related injury he had to retire from the railroad. Not wanting to sit idle he pushed himself to be active which included mowing for the village of Humbird. Over the years Ron had greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting in Wisconsin and loved motocross racing. At a younger age Ron had participated in motocross races and over the years still looked forward to watching the races. Last fall he was still able to travel to Millville, MN, to Spring Creek Motocross Tracks to enjoy the excitement and watch the races there.
Ron will be dearly missed by his son, Eric Iverson and Kaise and their son, Conner of Humbird; mother Dolores Iverson of Fairchild; 2 brothers, Richard and Georgene Iverson of Plymouth, Randy and Carol Iverson of Fairchild; nephew Anthony Iverson (Kaylene Hanson) of Osseo; niece Megan Iverson (Travis Graham) of Lake Wissota; and their families.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Richard “Dick” Iverson on Jan. 11, 2006. Ron’s request was to have a celebration of his life with fun and remembering the good times.
A time to gather with the family and to fulfill Ron’s wishes will be held June 11th, 2016 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Little Creek Campground at 627 Tioga Road in Fairchild.
