Bryant Rohrer
Bryant Wilmer Rohrer was born October 30, 1991, and passed away at his home in rural Cadott at the age of 24 years, 11 months 7 days.

He is survived by his parents, Wilmer and Judith Rohrer of Cadott; siblings, Greg (Charity) Rohrer of Cadott; Diane, of Cadott; Margaret (Anthony) Burkholder of Mine Centre, ON; Treva (Devon) Yoder of Arborg, MB; Debra, Winston, and Alex, of Cadott; niece and nephews, Jenica, Carson, and Braden Rohrer and Duncan Burkholder; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Carolyn Baer of Conrath. Bryant was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Rohrer.

At age eight he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and patiently suffered its devastating effects. He was restricted to a wheelchair at the age of eleven and faced decreasing physical ability until all movement was cumbersome and he required much physical assistance. He responded to God’s call in His life at the age of fourteen, was baptized at the Augusta Mennonite Church where he was a member until his death. Bryant was home oriented and spent many hours motoring around on his power chair observing the farm and talking with shop customers and farm service people. He was responsible for the record keeping of the farm operation and especially enjoyed watching animals, understanding the working of machinery and researching technical devices. It seemed this gave him purpose for living. He appreciated friends and particularly one on one time with them. He enjoyed his limited measure of independence and didn’t want to be an undue burden for anybody. He knew his life span would likely be less than average, but we are grateful to God for the extra year and a half we had with him after a serious illness in April 2015. His contribution to the lives of his immediate family, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends for these nearly twenty-five years will be sadly missed.

We rejoice in his choice and commitment to following Christ and thank God for His abundant mercy and a living hope.
