Richard Zhe
Richard D. Zhe, 81, of Augusta, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at the Augusta Area Nursing Home. 

Richard Delmar Zhe, son of Herbert and Leona (Kniseley) Zhe was born Oct. 29, 1934 in rural Osseo. With his parents he moved from Osseo to the Emanuel farm in Bridge Creek Township, rural Augusta. Richard served 4 years in the United States Army and after his honorable discharge he moved to Kenosha where he was employed at American Motors. Richard was united in marriage to Jean Zhe on July 23, 1960 at Gethsemane Ev. Lutheran Church in Racine. The couple lived 10 years in Kenosha before moving back to Augusta where Richard was employed at Bush Brothers Canning Company. He had also worked for the Augusta School District through the Green Thumb Project and for several home owners in the area doing lawn maintenance. Richard love musky fishing in the Eau Claire River, he was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed keeping busy by trying to fix odds and ends. When he couldn't be as active as he would of liked, he past the time by watching movies and documentaries that were based on U.S. wars.  

Richard will be dearly missed by his 3 daughters, Penny and Tom Potts of Edgerton, Debbie and Gary Hudson of Augusta, Tami and Jeff Howard of Soddy Daisy, TN; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Potts, Krsitie Potts, Dennis Hudson, Jeanne Hudson; 2 grandchildren, Kyleigh Potts and Austin Zillmer; sister, Linda Marion of Eau Claire; and special friend Helen Zell of Augusta.  

He was preceded in death by his mother on May 9, 1967; his father on Jan. 5, 1997; and wife Jean on Oct. 26, 1989. 

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
