The couple lived for a time in Stanley before Kenwas offered a job with 3M in Hastings, Minnesota. During his employment there he made his home in Prescott, WI. After he retired he moved to Eau Claire in 1992, and eventually to Augusta in March of 2016.Ken was a kind, gentle and independent man who kept to himself, but at the same time enjoyed visiting with family and friends. In his younger years he often visited family in Augusta, Iowa and Pennsylvania. In earlier years he enjoyed this bowling league involvement, golfing and fishing. As his age limited these activities, he did look forward to his day trips with his nephew and running errands and driving throughout the countryside with other family members. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and spouses, Frances and Ray Anderson, Lorraine and Danny Weidert and Al Wendel; brother John Carlson; nephews, Johnny Carlson and Jeff Weidert; and nephew-in-law Brian Bement. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, where funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
