Leslie Honadel
Leslie D. Honadel “Les”, 76, of Augusta, passed away suddenly at his home early Friday morning September 15, 2017. 

Leslie Darrell Honadel, son of Herbert and Rita (Ives) Honadel was born Nov. 14, 1940 in the Town of Bridge Creek, rural Augusta. As a child he was baptized and later confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. He attended school in Fall Creek and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1958. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1959 to 1963. Following his honorable discharge he married Sally Sommerfeldt on Sept. 26, 1964 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, and to this union two daughters were born. The couple lived in Milwaukee were Les was employed at Wisconsin Motors. Due to his father’s illness he returned to Fall Creek in 1970. On Dec. 26, 1986 he was united in marriage to Kay Bauch at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. After moving back to Fall Creek he was employed by Uniroyal Tire Company and after its closing he drove milk truck for Emil Bauer for 20 years, retiring in 1998. Les and Kay lived on Lake Eau Claire until remodeling the former Rodell Bar and moving back there in 2013. Les loved ice fishing in the area and throughout Northern Wisconsin, he enjoy trips to the casinos and especially loved babysitting and spending time with his family. 

  Les will be dearly missed by Kay, his wife of 30 years; 3 daughters, Heidi and Todd Dague of Eau Claire, Tammy and Tom Hanko of Fall Creek, Debra and Mark Brown of Fall Creek; 6 grandchildren, Josh and Jake Brown, Kevin and Kyle Dague, Anna and Grace Hanko; by Kay’s siblings, Alyce Brown of Arkansas, Dean Bauch, Dennis Bauch, David and Pat Bauch all of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.  

Les was preceded in death by his father Herbert; mother Rita; stepfather Henry Kromrey; brother Harold; and mother-in-law, Virginia Bauch Staatz. 

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 from 10:00 am to noon at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. Memorial services will be held at noon on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating.  

Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek.
