Elvira Jungerberg
Elvira V. Jungerberg, 90, formerly of Fall Creek, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona.  

Elvira Viola Jungerberg, daughter of August and Olga (Gust) Zimmerman was born June 14, 1927 in Eau Claire County. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek and attended Jobs Country School in Washington Township. On May 27, 1951, Elvira was united in marriage to Harvey William Jungerberg at St. John’s Lutheran Church and since her marriage had been a member of St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek.The couple lived in Ludington Township until 1956, when they moved onto the Jungerberg family farm in Lincoln Township. Harvey and Elvira moved into the Village of Fall Creek in 1989. Elvira and Harvey had enjoyed several trips to the western states and Alaska, a was able to visit the eastern states while on a bus trip. In addition to helping with the daily chores on the farm, Elvira spent hours in her vegetable and flower gardens. Her involvement with the church was very important to her as she served on various committees and with the woman’s fellowship group. She looked forward to family gatherings and especially spending time with her grand andgreat grandchildren. 

  Elvira will be dearly missed by her 2 sons, Gary and Nancy Jungerberg of Augusta, Greg and Tammy Jungerberg of Fall Creek; 2 daughters, Deb and Herman Holmstrom of Bay City, Sue and Mark Ruhe of Nine Mile Falls, WA; 5 grandchildren, Jodi (Jason) Hemphill, Niki (Matt) Torpen, Brent (Cassie) Fenner, Evan Jungerberg and Andrew Jungerberg; 9 great grandchildren, Shelby, Dylan, Jaydon, Jacob, Janessa, Janaya, Tyler, Deven and Ava; brother Ervin Zimmerman of Fall Creek; sister, Dorothy (Harold) Stelter of Milwaukee.; 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harvey on Nov. 18, 2012 and siblings, Lorna Sell, Rudolph, Lawrence and Harvey Zimmerman

A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and from 10 to 11a.m. Friday at St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek.
