James Kiesow
James D. Kiesow Sr., 76, of rural Fall Creek, passed away surrounded by loving family Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire .

James David Kiesow was born Dec. 2, 1941 in Franklin Township, Milwaukee County. Jim lived the first several years of his life in Hales Corners, WI, where he was baptized into the Lutheran faith and started grade school. As a child he moved with his family to Lincoln Township, rural Fall Creek. He went on to attend Green Meadow Country School and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1959. He was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek and later transferred his membership to Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour Township.
Jim was united in marriage to Judy Ruff on Aug. 22, 1970 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. The couple lived all their married life and raised their 2 sons on the Ruff family home in Seymour Township, rural Fall Creek. During his working years he had been employed at Equity Livestock in Altoona, Midland Co-op, Phillips Petroleum of Wayzata, MN, and as a sheet metal worker for 26 years. When he retired he was working for Sheet Metal Enterprises of Chetek and was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker’s Union.

Through the years Jim enjoyed collecting and fixing older cars and attending local car shows. He also enjoyed watching game shows, as well as fishing and dining out with family friends. He was a loyal Fall Creek fan and seldom missed a Friday night football game. In recent years he looked forward to his involvement with his “mobile store” business that he operated with Pete Kuhnert. Through the business he met many new friends in the Stanley, Thorp and Owen area. Jim loved his Lord and Savior and over the years had been an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. Jim’s family meant the world to him and he was so fortunate to have spent so much time with his children and grandchildren; and he never missed an opportunity to tell them how proud he was of them. If you knew Jim, you knew how much he enjoyed visiting and the fast array of knowledge he had on many subjects. He will be lovingly remembered as the “go to guy” to answer many questions

Jim will be dearly missed by his 2 sons, James Jr. and Sara Kiesow, Jason Kiesow and Patty Stanton all of Fall Creek; 8 grandchildren, Dakota, Alayna, Hunter, McKenzy, Teya, Chase, McKenna and Tristen; brother, David (Marianne) Kiesow of Fall Creek; step-brother, Duane (Virginia) Harris of Eau Claire; and in-laws, Gerald Johnson of Altoona, Bill Ruff of Fall Creek, Laurene Ruff of Augusta, Noreen Harris of Redwing, MN; aunts, Beverly and Jane Curler both of Eau Claire; numerous other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Alma; wife Judy on May 9, 2015; sister Elizabeth Johnson; and step brother Don Harris.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek, with Pastor James Norton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
