Kim E. Plombon-Walter, 62, of rural Eau Claire, passed away Sunday evening at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Kim Elizabeth, daughter of Chester and Mary (Lelonek) Johnson was born Sept. 1, 1955 in Eau Claire. She was raised with her 6 siblings in Altoona, and graduated from St. Bede’s High School in Eau Claire. Following high school she had been employed as a hostess for Austin’s White House in Eau Claire. In 1977, Kim was united in marriage to Severyn Plombon and after he passed away in 1981 she moved to Boynton Beach, Florida. While in Florida she worked as awaitress at the Golf Stream Bath and Tennis Club before moving back to Eau Claire 7 years later. While in Eau Claire she worked in food service at both the Eau Claire Academy and at theuniversity. In 1989 she married Dan Walter and this marriage later ended in divorce. Kim was a loving mother and often referred to her daughter as her “greatest accomplishment in life.” She was fortunate to have been able to spend so much time with her daughter and also with her beloved grandsons.
Kim will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and David Schulz of Eau Claire; grandsons, Nicholas and Skyler; 3 brothers, Hunter Johnson of Eau Claire, Steve Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, Mark and Lindy Johnson of Altoona; long time friend Becky McGee of Woodstock, GA; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Johnson; and sisters, Becky Skoug and Suzanne Johnson.
At Kim’s request there will be no public service.
