Helen Taylor-Audorff
Helen Taylor-Audorff, 88, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation and in the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.  

Helen Marion Hamman, daughter of Peter and Millicent (Warner) Hamman was born June 3, 1928 in Wilson Township, Eau Claire County. She lived a majority of her life in Wilson Township, where she attended country school and graduated from Augusta High School in 1946. Following graduation she had worked at the Anderson Canning Company and for Joe Graham at the Green Lantern Café, both in Augusta. She was united in marriage to Conrad L. Taylor on March 12, 1949 in Eau Claire. The couple lived all their married life in Wilson Township, where they raised their 6 children. Following Conrad’s death in December of 1985, she married Alfred Audorff on Sept. 7, 1996. Helen and Al lived alltheir married life in Chippewa Falls. After Al passed away on Sept. 6, 2015, Helen entered the Augusta Nursing Home. Through the years Helen had enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playingbingo, working jigsaw puzzles, adult coloring, and playing games with her children, grand and great grandchildren. Helen loved her family deeply and enjoyed any opportunity to be with them. 

She will be dearly missed by her 5 children, Karen (Greg) Sieg of Osseo, John Taylor (Karen) of Augusta, Linda Leonard (Jason Kautzer) of Thorp, Alice (Doug) Zimbauer of Augusta, Pamela Taylor of Eau Claire; 8 grandchildren, Jenny Leonard, Katelyn (Nick) Gaeu, Stacy (James) Bertrand, Kevin Sieg, Robert (Alisha) Sieg, Sandy (Matt) Barhyte, Amy Hahn, Shane Taylor; 8 great grandchildren; brother, John Hamman a resident of the Strum Nursing Home; 3 step children, Ardis Cray (Richard Sweeney) of Chippewa Falls, Cathy Audorff of Janesville, Kevin Audorff of Chippewa Falls; step grandson, Scott Cray; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husbands, 

Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Ann in 1971; step daughter Dianne Gieseke; andstep grandchild Andy Cray.  

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating. Burial will follow in the West LawnCemetery in Augusta.  

“You will find no better best friend than your mother in this world. Believe me. She knows you more than any one does. You are the flesh of her flesh. Respect her, cherish her and love her with all your heart. She could be gone one day and you’d find no one like her.”
