Gary Grage
Gary G. Grage “Goober”, 68, of rural Osseo, passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 11, 2019 at Amery Regional Medical Center in Amery, WI.

Gary George Grage, son of George and Lois (Steinke) Grage was born January 17, 1950 in Eau Claire. He was raised and lived most of his life in the Foster area of rural Osseo. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Foster, attended Foster Elementary School and graduated from Osseo High School in 1968. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Foster area where he had farmed at one time and worked 17 years for Barricade Flasher. He then worked an additional 6 years for Chippewa County Parks and Forestry Department at Pine Point County Park in Holcombe, before retiring at the age of 63.
Through the years Gary had always enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, following the Green Bay Packers, helping the neighbors whenever possible, spoiling his grandchildren and occasionally going ice fishing. He always looked forward to the annual Christmas family gathering where he got to spend time with the family and play several friendly games of Christmas gift giving dice.

Gary will be dearly missed by his wife Tammy; brother Doug (Julie) Grage of Apple Valley, MN; 5 sisters, Mary (Doug) Johnson of Eleva, Sharon (Frank) Knutson of Stanley, Dawn (Steve) Robelia of Eau Claire, Shelia (Rod) Pelzek of Marshfield, Jill (Steve) Hartung of Spring Valley; 5 step-sons, Mario Gonzales Sr. (Hannah) of Fall Creek, Chad (Heidi) Gonzalez of Racine, Ryan (Brenda) Popple of Bruce, Catlin Hutsell (Christina) of Tilden, Austin (Desi) Hutsell of Chippewa Falls; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother Carl Grage; and daughters, Cathy Jean and Jody Grage
