Richard E. Kronberg, 78, of Fairchild and formerly of North Minneapolis passed away early Tuesday morning March 20, 2019 in Fairchild.
Richard Ernest Kronberg, son of Wallace and Ann (Niemy) Kronberg was born April 9, 1929 in North Minneapolis. He lived most of his life in North Minneapolis where he attended grade school and Patrick Henry High School. He eventually obtained his G.E. D. at Minneapolis Vocational School. Richard had an extreme interest in vintage automobiles and at one time he operated a business where he produced top wood parts for the vintage automobiles, which they then shipped to the customers. He had also worked as a printing assistant for Printing Inc. and Japs Olson Printing Company, both in the Minneapolis area. In 1983 he met Jackie Schuppel who he later married. The couple divorced after a few years but still remained close friends. In 2009 Richard left the Minneapolis area moving to Braham, MN and then to Fairchild, WI in 2010. Richard was very creative person who kept his mind busy inventing things. He loved the 50’s, and especially the cars from that era. He spent many hours fixing on the older cars for himself and others. If you knew Richard you knew he had strong feelings and opinions on a number of subjects, but underlying all that was a very good and kind soul. He was always willing to help others as best he could and you could always count on genuine hug of friendship and support. He was a charter member of the Fairchild Church of Hope and if the doors were open, there you would find Richard.
Richard will be dearly missed by his daughter, Beverly Ann Siler of Eau Claire; his two grandsons, Ryan Dunakey of Leesburg, Missouri, Cade Johnson of Eau Claire; 2 brothers, David Kronberg of Minneapolis, MN and Marvin and his wife Nancy Kronberg of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; special friend Jackie Jones of Fairchild; and his family at Fairchild Church of Hope.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Brittany Conway; and brother Kenny Kronberg; and sister Ann Kronberg.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Fairchild Church of Hope. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday at the church with Pastor Don Conklin officiating.
