Nancy A. Osborn, 82, of Augusta, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning April1, 2018 at the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation.
Nancy Almeda Osborn, daughter of Willard and Edna (Nelson) Osborn was born Jan. 12, 1936. She was raised in the Kirkham Valley area of rural Augusta, where she attended Kirkham Valley Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1956. For many years Nancy was employed by Richard Pettis at the Nu Café in Augusta. She then worked as a nurse’s aide in both the Fairchild and Fall Creek Nursing Homes until retiring at the age of 65. Nancy loved traveling and took every opportunity to travel with family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she loved spending time with them and watching the young ones grow and have families of their own, as well as the children in the neighborhood. All through her life she was fond of her pets and would often recall the times spent with her favorite dog Peppy. Over the years she looked forward to the Nelson family reunions as well as her high school reunions. Nancy’s faith was an important part of her life and cherished the friends she made by attending the Augusta Assembly of God.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her sister, Pat Osborn of Madison; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Lance) Langeiwicz of Rock Falls, Linda (Rick) Reineke of Eau Claire, Allen (Sue) Staves of Altoona, Robert (Jean) Staves of Fall Creek, Larry Willkom of Chippewa Falls, and their families; aunt, Ann (Tom) Cloutier of Wausau; and uncle, Joseph (Beverly) Nelson of Stanley.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, JoAnne Wagner.Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Augusta, with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
