Eileen Hagedorn
Eileen M. Hagedorn, 97, former of Ludington and Fall Creek, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 14, 2019, at the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation.

Eileen Minnie Hagedorn was born, December 9, 1921, the only child of Bertha (Luedtke) and Otto Hagedorn. She lived in the town of Ludington her entire life moving from the family farm (after her parents died) when she was approximately 50 years old.Eileen moved to a trailer home where she resided until December 2012 when she moved to the Commons in Fall Creek. After suffering a stroke in November 2017, she entered the Augusta Rehab Center. Eileen suffered another massive stroke on March 8, 2019; and after a few days in Sacred Heart, returned to Augusta Rehab under Hospice care.At 50 years old, Eileen learned to drive and be entirely on her own. She cleaned(every day) most of all the taverns in the area plus many of our homes. She did this until she was 70+ years old. Eileen had many kitties and would have claimed all the wild cats in Ludington as her own if it would have been possible. At the Commons Eileen had Joey and Autumn as her companions.Eileen was a very private and shy lady! Eileen gradually lost her eye site and had cataract surgery in one eye but refused to get the other eye corrected. Even so, she had subscriptions to all the papers and knew more what was going on than most people. Eileen’s cousins were her family and she followed their lives sending many cards and calling on the telephone. She didn’t need speed dial as all numbers were put to memory.

Eileen is survived by her cousins: Willie Luedtke, Vickie Paffel, Harry (Bud) Luedtke, Lillian Hadorn, Barbara Beck, Donald Luedtke, Danny Luedtke, Susan Luedtke, Norman Luedtke, Larry Luedtke, Gary Luedtke, Jim Luedtke, Ralph Luedtke, Jack Luedtke, Arlo Luedtke, Vern Luedtke, Dennis Luedtke, Eileen Lane, Pat Luedtke, Dan Luedtke, Warren Luedtke, Tootsie Scott, Howard Luedtke, the
cousins’ spouses, children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Pastor James Norton officiating.

Due to the winter conditions burial will be in the spring in the Ludington Cemetery.
