Karl D. Stillwagon, 65, formerly of Humbird and rural Osseo passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.
Karl Dean Stillwagon was born on Dec. 18, 1953, in Salina, Kansas, the son of Harry and Alta (Pigman) Stillwagon. He was raised in Chapman, Kansas and graduated from Chapman High School. In 1978 Karl moved to Humbird, Wisconsin, when he was offered a job as a lineman for Centurytel. He was united in marriage to Vicki Doud on Aug. 17, 1979 in Chapman. Together they lived in Humbird with her 3 children. He eventually moved to rural Osseo and was living in Garfield Township of rural Osseo when he passed away. Karl worked for over 20 years as a lineman with the telephone company and had the reputation as extremely proficient cable splicer.Not only did his employment take him outdoors, he also enjoyed spending his free time in nature and had some very special areas that he often visited in the rural Wisconsin outdoors. He loved watching the animals and spending time with family and close friends.
Karl is survived by his only sibling, Harry and his wife Joann Stillwagon of Florien, Louisiana; their children, Chris, Tim and Missy Stillwagon. Karl will also be deeply missed by Vicki Doud of Wisconsin, and her children, Michelle Bradley, Laurie Sabata and Jonathan Sabata; and very special friends, Tom and Bonnie Theiler of rural Osseo.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Alta; and nephew Harry Jonathan Stillwagon.
Private services are being planned by family and friends.
