While in Eau Claire he went to many noon AA meetings at Alano Club 12. Carol accompanied Larry to many open meetings also. On June 8, 2020 he was proud to celebrate 32 years clean and sober.

On August  14,1999 Larry married Carol (Barnett) Anderson at Owen Park in Eau Claire.

Larry loved listening to the 24/7/365 day messages on Son Life TV and radio.  He also loved to listen to the old time gospel music every chance he got!  Larry loved music and played guitar accompanying his father who played the accordion.

Larry had many jobs through his life time as he was very intelligent, talented, and creative. He made beautiful leather work, worked in a print shop, was a photographer and helped in his Grandfather's photography studio, learned HAMM radio, did woodwork, was a chief of Police, was an avid writer of beautiful poetry and was in the process of writing, "The Greatest Story Ever Told".  He also  had his own internet ministries.
