Timothy Van Gorder
Timothy J. Van Gorder, 54, formerly of Augusta and Fall Creek, passed away early Monday morning, September 29, 2020, at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.

Timothy John, son of Carl and Helen (Nelson) Van Gorder was born April 3, 1966. He was raised in the Augusta area where he attended elementary and high school. At the age of 16 Tim decided to leave high school to become a long distance semi truck driver. This endeavor at a young age took him through a 33 year career of driving. Due to complications from suffering a stroke, Tim was forced to retire in 2015. Tim was living in Fall Creek until recently suffering another stroke which required full time nursing care. Tim was united in marriage to Peggy Atkinson Otto on July 11, 1991, in Eau Claire. The couple lived shortly in the Withee and Thorp area before moving back to Augusta. For 3 years in addition to driving, with Peggy he owned and operated Tim and Peggy’s Pit Stop Pug north of Augusta. Tim was a very committed truck driver and when he wasn’t on the road he enjoyed spending time with friends. especially when watching NASCAR races and taking part in local 4wheel drive mud races. Since Tim was an only child his immediate family being his parents and grandparents have all passed away.

He is survived by a small group of aunts and uncles, many cousins and friends.A visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, where a memorial service conducted by Pastor Dale Hazard will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
