Kristine Herrick
Kristine Ann Herrick passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire on December 21st, 2021, at the age of 59.

Kris was born December 19, 1962, to Lenard and Rosena (Harper) Herrick. She attended Augusta High School. She was married to Daniel Guntner on December 11, 1982, at the United Methodist Church in Augusta. She and Dan parted ways after 3 years of marriage, but remained friends and the Guntner family always cared for Kris the same as the day they embraced her as their daughter/sister-in-law. Kris was a hard worker her entire life until her health concerns slowed her down. She often worked multiple jobs to support her children. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing with her dad and brother John. She loved to go out dancing, but her favorite dance floor was her own living room where she often danced a solo two step to her favorites like Cher and REO Speedwagon with her eyes closed and singing her heart out. She loved music. Her other hobbies included crocheting, wood working and candle making; she loved to have friends and family over for card nights that often lasted to the wee hours of the morning and provided us all memories we can reminisce about as a way of her keeping us laughing long after she’s gone.

Kristine is survived by her mother Rosena Herrick of Augusta; three children, Jessica (Luke) Korger, Daniel Guntner and Tricia (Cory) Deilke all of Augusta; grandchildren, Kayne, Ashlyn, Kennedy, Aubrey, Kale, Deagan, Jordin and Donavan; siblings, Kim Johnson of Eau Claire, Peggy Nelson of Augusta, Mary Puzio of Eau Claire, James Herrick of Augusta and Melissa (Brad) Bethke of Augusta; many nieces, nephews and special friend Austin Lengyel.

Kristine is preceded in death by her father Lenard Herrick; brother John Herrick; sister Teresa Oliver; maternal grandparents, Turon and Ethel Harper; paternal grandparents, Dudley and Grace Herrick; and in-laws, Phillip and Rolleen Guntner.

Kris did not want a formal service, but rather preferred a celebration of life and her ashes spread in a special place in Colorado. Her children will carry these wishes out this summer and plan for a celebration of life locally at that time as well.

A limb has fallen from the family tree that says grieve not for me; rather remember the best times, the laughter, dancing and song, remember the good life I lived back when I was strong.
