William “Bill” Miles, 66, of rural Osseo, passed away Tuesday Nov. 23, 2021, with his children by his side at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
William Ishue Miles Jr. was born on March 5, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the third of 5 sons born to William Sr. and Dorothy (Johnson) Miles. He started school in Indiana before moving with his family to Pigeon Falls, WI, in 1966. He went on to graduate in 1973 from Whitehall High School. He continued to life in the Pigeon Falls and Whitehall area before moving to his present home in rural Osseo in 1999. All of his adult life Bill was employed as masonry worker. He worked many years with Lunde Construction of Black River Falls and when he retired at the age of 60 due to ill health he was working for Market and Johnson of Eau Claire. Bill enjoyed being at home, tinkering in his garage and always listening to his classic rock station playing on the radio day and night. He loved camping, sitting by the camp fire on a summer night and spending time with his family. He participated in wrestling in high school and still looked forward to getting together with his sons on Sunday evening to be entertained by World Wrestling TV. He also never missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren participate in school activities.
Bill will be dearly missed by his 3 sons, Josh Miles (Pachia Vang) of Altoona, Russell Miles of Eau Claire, Blake (Ilia) Miles of Augusta; 2 daughters, Jessica Krueger of Augusta, Billie Miles (Josh Rivera) of Austin, TX; 13 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Rex Miles of Whitehall, Rick(Mary) Miles of Blair, Terry (Michelle) Miles of Neillsville; 2 nephews, 2 great nephews; and special friend Kay Nelson of Osseo.
Bill was preceded in death by his father in 2007; mother in 2014; and brother Mike in 1978.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday evening, November 29, 2021, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
A visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pigeon Falls.
