Deborah Jean Ailes-Scheit passed away early Tuesday morning July 19, 2022. She was where she wanted to be, at home surrounded by everything that was important to her, her loving family, the peaceful countryside and the home that she and Bob built together.
Deborah, daughter of Ralph and Doris (Parker) Decker was born on Sept. 28, 1965, in Findlay, Ohio. She was raised in Arcadia, Ohio, and it was here she attended school and graduated from high school in 1983.
In the early 1990’s Deborah moved to Racine, WI. It was here while employed at Case that she met fellow employee Robert Scheit. When Robert later decided to return to his home roots in 1998, the two of them along with Deborah’s two children moved to Garfield township in Jackson county, just east of Osseo. This is where they made their life together. It was here Deborah worked for Stockmans Farm Supply for over 20 years, here she developed many of her friendships, as was witnessed by her family who truly appreciated the love and support shown by the Stockmans family to Deborah and later the family.
Deborah loved the outdoors, and her home offered her the lifestyle she truly enjoyed. She loved her gardens and flowers. She especially enjoyed hunting and fishing which she began with Robert and in recent years did with her granddaughters as well. The springs always brought maple syrup time which her and Robert did together. While in Racine she developed a love for Lake Michigan, so summers where trips there Salmon fishing. And though she was an amazing adventurous woman she was happiest at home. Her “little slice of heaven” surrounded by her family.
Deborah will be deeply missed by Robert her soulmate, friend and partner for over 20 years; Daughter Jessica and Patrick Salmons of Augusta; son Joshua Decker of Osseo; Step-son Curtis Ailes Jr. of Findlay; 5 grandchildren, Eve and Brianna Decker, Gabriella Salmons, Hailey and Zachary Ailes; Mother Doris Decker of Ohio; 2 brothers, Brad Decker and Chris Decker both of Ohio; 2 nephews, Lliam and Grady Decker, the entire Scheit family and life long friend Penny Albright of Florida. Deborah was proceeded in death by her father.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support as Deborah stoically fought her illness, it meant the world to her. Stockmans who again went out of their way to accommodate Deborah during her illness, and for the support given by so many. Thank you all.
A celebration of life will be announced soon both here in Osseo, WI, and her hometown in the Findlay - Arcadia area, Ohio.
