Duane Bergman
Duane Ronald “Catfish” Bergman, 73, of rural Augusta, after a long battle with illness passed away in hospice care and with his family at his side on September 24th, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Duane was born on September 7th, 1951, in Portage, WI, to Donald and Bonna (Isenberger) Bergman. He attended school in Augusta, WI. Duane met and married Joanne (Marion) Creaser in January of 1972 in South Dakota. Together they had 3 children, Chad, Stacey and Jason. During their marriage they farmed in Stanley, WI. Duane later married Ann Tellstrom on August 13th 1990, in Augusta. Together Duane and Ann had 2 children, Adam and Bonna. Through the years Duane had many jobs along with his farming career. He drove truck, worked construction, and also was employed with Northern Clearing before his retirement. Duane enjoyed many things in life, traveling for work, hunting trips out west, hauling junk, going to auctions, helping others in need and spending time with his family and friends. Duane was known for his sense of humor, contagious smile and sarcastic remarks; all things that will be greatly missed by anyone who knew and loved him.

Duane is survived by his wife Ann: his children Chad(Sherry) Bergman and Stacey(Andy) Axelson all of Augusta, Jason(Nicole) Bergman of Spencer, Adam Bergman of Augusta and Bonna Bergman of St. Paul, MN. His wonderful grandchildren, Sadie, Searra, Skyler, Tucker, Brittany, Lacey, Stephanie, Brady, Deklin, Aurora, Ja’Kobe and Krimson; 3 great grandchildren, Jackson and Sullivan, and Baby Grace arriving in January.

He is further survived by his siblings, Debra Weise of Augusta, Dennis(Earlene) Bergman of Boyd, Doug(Rebecca) Bergman of Augusta, Dorothy(Ken) Girard of Stanley; sister in law Amy Bergman of Chippewa Falls; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Duane is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Bonna Bergman; brothers Dale and David; sister in law Luann Bergman; brother-in-law Mike Weise; niece Krista Bergman; and father and mother-in-law, Walt and Betty Tellstrom.

Duane will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him especially his family and friends, but most of all his cows… Duane loved his cows!

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26, 2024, from 1pm - 5pm, at Boondocks Bar & Grill in Boyd.
