Steve “Stevie B” Bertram
Steve Allen Bertram, known to his friends as Stevie B, and Runt to his family was born June 30, 1994, in Menomonee Falls, WI, son of Steve and Sandra (Barnett) Bertram. At the time of his birth his parents were living in Hartford. WI, and at the age of 6 months they moved to Fall Creek and he attended Fall Creek Elementary School through the 6th. grade. At the time he started middle school his family had moved to Augusta and it was there he finished his education, graduating with the class of 2012 .
While in high school and after graduation he had worked washing dishes at the Norske Nook in Osseo and the Hungry Hunter’s Cafe in Augusta. He had also worked in Augusta at Gordy’s I.G.A, the Express Mart and Palmer’s Place. He went on to attend Chippewa Valley Technical College and was enrolled in the welding program. Steve had been employed at Get It Now in Eau Claire, and as a welder at Curt Manufacturing and Erv Smith and Cooling in Eau Claire. One side job that he really enjoyed was working the food wagon for K and P
Catering at Country Jam in Colorado.
Steve loved his family and together shared many wonderful times. He had a typical brother/sister relationship with Matilda, but truly loved his sister and cherished their time together also.
Steve, with a friend or group of friends enjoyed playing video games, fishing, hunting, but shooting very few animals and mostly targets. He also golfed and played Frisbee golf with anyone who would play. Steve appreciated his many, many friendships and never took them for granted. He would always help a friend in need and if you knew Steve,
you knew he was someone who would always stick up for you and have your back.
Steve had a pleasant disposition and if you came upon him you could always count on a warm smile and most often a conversation as he never ignored anyone, young or old.
Steve passed away suddenly from natural causes at his home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, reaching the age of 29 years, 9 months and 5 days.
