Steven D. Olson, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep November 25, 2024 while under the care of Lilly Hospice.
Steve was born November 17, 1943 to Floyd and Selma (Severson) Olson. He was raised on a dairy farm in Osseo along with this two brothers. Steve attended and graduated from Osseo High School in 1961. After graduation he joined the United States Army where he served Honorably in the reserves
from 1961 – 1969.
Steve enjoyed woodworking and was a skilled carpenter by trade. He designed, built, and renovated many homes. There were no projects to big or to small, and he enjoyed each and every build he had a hand in. He also enjoyed taking drives through the country side and was an expert navigator never getting lost! Upon his retirement he tinkered rebuilding old radios and phonographs, made beautiful wood turned items, helped friends and neighbors with projects and even took on a paper delivery route.
Steve is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Robert) Pennone – Florida and grandchildren Stacy (Justin) Kubitsky, Matthew (Calais) Laganosky and Great grand-daughter Alice Laganosky, Stephannie (Nathan) Gregorash - Montana and grandchildren Elsa, Clara, Azalea and Beckett Gregorash, son Anthony “Tony” (Patty) Olson – Wyoming and grandson Curtis Olson.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Selma and his brothers Donald and Russell.
Steve was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Pastor David Hoadley officiating. Burial will be in the Osseo Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
