Beverly Ann (Bielen) Pettis, 75, Boyd (formerly Cadott), died June 8th, 2024 at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta Thursday June 13th 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The Funeral will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd on June 14th at 11:00am. The Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.
Bev was born to Alois and Eva (Kuranda) Bielen on April 11, 1949. She attended St. Mary’s Academy in Prairie du Chien, WI graduating in 1967. Bev then attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, WI graduating with an associate’s degree in nursing in 1971. Bev married Paul Pettis on August 21, 1971 and had six children.
She spent most of her married life on the family farm near Cadott. Bev enjoyed fishing, bike rides, baking pies, picking berries, Wii bowling and was a fervent supporter of the Green Bay Packers.
Bev was a dedicated and caring nurse for over 35 years. She spent most of her career at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire in the Obstetrics/Delivery department. Bev worked in the NICU caring for high-risk infants and also for bereaved parents as administrator of the Resolve Through Sharing program.
Bev was a member of several communities. She was a faithful Catholic, attending Mass regularly as a member of All Saints parish and prayed the rosary daily. When Eva was born with Down Syndrome, Bev became active in Special Olympics, proudly watching her daughter compete. She was born into a Polish family and was thrilled to visit Poland in 2013. She looked forward to her family reunion each year. Bev was also a long-time member of the Chippewa County Republican Party, serving as president of the Chippewa County Republican Women’s group.
Bev is survived by her husband Paul, her children: Diana (Jeff) Lightner, Michelle (Matthew) Wurzer, Karen (Dan) Enestvedt, Adam (Clare) Pettis, Eva Pettis and Johanna (Thomas) Ramboldt, her grandchildren: Christian Wurzer, Seth Pettis, Eva Enestvedt, Emma Enestvedt, John Lightner, John Enestvedt, Ali Enestvedt, Madilyn Ramboldt and Baby Ramboldt, her siblings: David (Sandy) Bielen, Lois (Clarence) Henry, Susan (Philip) Olson, Paul (Kathy) Bielen and her beloved aunt Christine Riesselmann.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents Alois and Eva and her grandson Luke.
