Arlene Anderson
Arlene M. Anderson, 75, of rural Fall Creek, Ludington Township, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family while under hospice care on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Arlene was born on February 21, 1950, the daughter of Harold and Myrtle (Thomas) Raether. She was raised and lived most of her life on the Raether family property in Ludington Township, where she attended Woodland Valley Country School and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1968. Following graduation, she was employed at Mason Shoes in Chippewa Falls.

Arlene was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington, where she was baptized, confirmed, and also where she was united in marriage to Dennis Anderson on October 2, 1971. After their marriage, she worked at Bush Brothers Canning Company in Augusta before leaving the workforce to raise their two sons. Once the boys were school-aged, Arlene returned to Bush Brothers and continued working there until 1989.

At this time she switched careers and took a position she truly loved as an activity aide at Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home. She held this role for 20 years and was a joy to both the residents and staff.
Arlene was actively involved in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, serving with the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild, as a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher. Over the years she enjoyed collecting and had a vast collection of aprons and handkerchiefs.

Arlene will be remembered as a very kind and loving soul who will be dearly missed by Dennis, her devoted husband of 54 years; two sons, Scott (Joyell) Anderson of Fall Creek, and Tim (Tara) Anderson, currently in Japan with the United States military; four grandchildren, David (Abby) Anderson, Andrew Anderson (Kylie Stelter), Abby Anderson and Conrad Anderson; and one beloved great-grandson, Easton. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Barbara) Raether of Humboldt, Iowa; sister, Lucy (Elmer) Zillmer of Campbellsport; sister-in-law, Brynda Raether of Chippewa Falls; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Myrtle Raether; brother Edward Rather; father and mother-in-law, Chauncey and Dorothy Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington, with Pastor James Norton officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and also one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
