Peter Hass
Peter J. Haas, 79, of rural Augusta, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 10, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.  
Peter James Haas, son of Lawrence and Dora (Hart) Haas, was born Dec. 7, 1932, at home in the township of Clear Creek, Eau Claire County. He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Guardian Catholic Church in Brackett. Peter was raised in the Allen area, where he attended school and helped on the family farm. 
 

He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Thoma on Nov. 17, 1956, at Holy Guardian Catholic Church. The coupe lived all of their married life in Otter Creek Township.  
Peter had worked 25 years at Arrow Alignment in Eau Claire, before starting his own frame shop. In his spare time he pursued his passion for restoring cars, thrift shopping, attending auctions, hunting and spending time with his wife, children and 4 grandchildren. Over the years he had been a charter member of the Bracketeers Snowmobile Club and was instrumental in developing club trails. He had also been a member of the Foster Lions Club, where he served as “The Tail Twister� and enjoyed setting up the annual Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt. 

He will be deeply missed by Mary, his wife of nearly 56 years, 3 sons and 4 grandchildren, Robert and Jill Haas of Augusta, Richard and Tamara Haas and children, Ashley and Anthony all of Osseo, Ronald and Karla Haas and children, Benjamin and William all of Osseo; sister, Mildred Jaenke of Allen, sister-in-law, Grace Haas of Osseo, brother-in-law, Henry Bohlinger of Strum; several nieces and nephews. 
 

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dora Haas, twin brother, Paul Haas and sister, Margaret Bohlinger.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with burial in Holy Guardian Catholic Cemetery, rural Fall Creek, WI. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Following the burial a lunch will be served at The Palladium in Osseo.  

The family will remain at The Palladium until 7 p.m. Thursday evening and they cordially invite anyone who might not be able to come earlier in the day, to stop in. Â
