Lois M. Hollister, 57, of Osseo, Wis., passed away at home on Sunday morning, April 15, 2012, with her loving and devoted family at her side after a long battle with cancer.
Lois was born on February 25, 1955, in Eau Claire, Wis. at Sacred Heart Hospital, to Izora (Heather) and Forrest Hollister. She attended Foster Grade School and Osseo-Fairchild High School. She was a life long member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Foster. Lois had lived most of her life in Eau Claire and Trempealeau counties, where she worked as a cook and baker. She had been employed in the Super Value Bakery and at the Stoney Creek Campground both in Osseo, at the Hungry Hunter Café in Augusta and also in Pigeon Falls. Before ill health forced her to retire she was cooking in the restaurant at Equity Livestock in Eau Claire. Lois enjoyed the time spent in her flower gardens and taking pictures. She especially loved spending time with her sons, Jason and Keith along with the rest of her family and friends, which she had many of both. She took pleasure in being a mom, a sister and a friend. She will be deeply missed each and every day. Lois, we know the journey has been short, but it has been plentiful with love and even in moments of hardship you have been a guiding light of hope to all. Your love will always live on.
The memory of Lois will live on in the hearts and minds of her mother Izora, two sons, brothers Walter, Paul, Henry and Norman, sisters Elaine, Rose and Peggy. She was preceded in death by her father Forrest and her sister Sally.
A celebration of her life will be held at Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Foster, with Pastor Lamoine Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Foster. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
