Beulah Johnson
Beulah M. Johnson “Boots�, 96, formerly of Augusta, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center, where she had been a resident since May of 2005.  

Beulah, daughter of Martin and Elsie (Smith) Marcellis was born July 28, 1915, in Stanley, Wisconsin. She attended school in Stanley, and worked as a housekeeper before her marriage to Wesley Johnson in 1934. The couple farmed in Ludington Township. After Wes passed away in 1966, she continued to live in Ludington and then Lincoln Township, before moving to Augusta in 1980. Beulah loved spending time with her family, especially babysitting the grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, doing many craft projects and sewing. Through the years she sewed many quilts for family and friends and Barbie clothes for the granddaughters. Beulah was also an excellent cook and baker. 


She will be missed by all for her wonderful smile and warm heart; especially her 3 daughters, Joan (Kenneth) Shilts of Boyd, Nancy (Arky) Bears of Story, WY, Susan (Lee) Luton of Falls City, OR; son, Wesley (Barb) Johnson of Springfield, OR; 13 grandchildren, David, Anne, Marg, Carol, Brenda, Jodi, Angela, John Cynthia, Chris, Bambi, Tanya, and Dennis; several great grandchildren, namely Jessica , with whom she was especially close; great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings and young son, Jim.  

Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
