Elizabeth Johnson
Elizabeth M. Johnson “Betty�, 66, of 2420 Bartlett Ave. Altoona, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. 

Elizabeth Mary Johnson, daughter of Adolph and Alma (Zielsdorf) Kiesow was born Nov. 15, 1944 in Franklin Township, Milwaukee County. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Milwaukee and confirmed at St. Paul‘s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. At the age of four she moved with her family to rural Fall Creek, where she attended Green Meadow Country School and graduated in 1962 from Fall Creek High School. She was united in marriage to Gerald Johnson on July 9, 1964 in Minneapolis. The couple lived most of their married life in the Altoona area. Betty attended UW- Eau Claire, where she attained a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master Degree in School Psychology. The majority of her career was spent as the school psychologist for the Owen-Withee School District and also worked as an at need support psychologist with the Augusta, Thorp and Neillsville School Districts . Ill health forced her to retire in 2006. Betty loved to travel, having visited Europe, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii and most of the lower 48 states. She always loved be around animals, feeding the neighborhood bunnies and the companionship of her cat, Apollo. She enjoyed shopping but also the solitude when reading. Her personality was both adventurous and social, she wasn‘t intimidated by modern technology and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Although she had many interests, her true passion in life was her family, especially her 6 beloved granddaughters. Betty cherished each and every moment spent with the granddaughters.  

She will be deeply missed by Gerald, her husband of 47 years; daughter, Sandra Johnson-Ericksen and her husband, Jeff of Boyceville; son, Scott Johnson of Cheyenne, WY; 6 granddaughters, Katherine and Alexandra Johnson, Geda, Brenna and Seanna Ericksen and Holly Johnson; two brothers, Jim (Judy) Kiesow and Dave (Marianne) Kiesow all of Fall Creek; two step-brothers, Don (Noreen) Harris of Red Wing, MN, Duane (Virginia) Harris of Eau Claire; many cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Alma.  

Funeral services will be held Wed. May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Altoona, with Pastor Dan Kohn officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Seymour Township, rural Fall Creek. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.Â
