Harvey W. Jungerberg, 86, of Fall Creek, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center, where he had been a resident for the past 2 years.
Harvey William Jungerberg, son of Frederich and Adelia (Henning) Jungerberg was born March 11, 1926, in Lincoln Township, rural Fall Creek. He was a life long member of St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, where he was baptized and confirmed. He attended Green Meadow Country School and helped on the family farm. Prior to 1956, he had owned and operated a can milk route and an excavating business. He was united in marriage to Elvira Zimmerman on May 27, 1951, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek. The couple lived in Ludington Township until 1956, when they moved onto the Jungerberg family farm, where he farmed until fully retiring in 1993. Harvey and Elvira had moved into the Village of Fall Creek in 1989. Harvey had enjoyed playing on the church dart ball team, fishing and hunting in Wisconsin, and following the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. Farming didn’t allow him a lot of free time, but he did have several very enjoyable trips by car and bus. He had visited the western states, make it to Alaska and the eastern coast.
Harvey will be deeply missed by Elvira, his wife of 61 years; 2 sons, Gary and Nancy Jungerberg of Augusta, Greg and Tammy Jungerberg of Fall Creek; 2 daughters, Deb and Herman Holmstrom of Henderson NV, Sue and Mark Ruhe of Nine Mile Falls, WA; 2 brothers, Felix and Beverly Jungerberg of Eau Claire, Delbert and Delores Jungerberg of Green Bay; sister, Inez and Lawrence Dehnke of Fall Creek; 5 grandchildren, Jodi (Jason) Hemphill, Niki (Matt) Torpen, Brent Fenner, Evan and Andrew Jungerberg; and 10 great grandchildren.
