Edna Lane
Edna M. Lane, 86, formerly of Ludington Township, Altoona and Eau Claire, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center. 
Edna May Lane, daughter of John and Mary (Watson) Behrens was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Chicago, where she was baptized into the Episcopal faith. As a child she moved with her family to Wilson Township, Eau Claire County, where she attended Evergreen Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1943.  

Edna was united in marriage to Roy Daniel Lane on September 2, 1944, at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek. The couple farmed the Lane family farm in Ludington Township. In addition to helping with farm chores, Edna was a wonderful stay at home mom. After the couple retired they moved to Altoona in 1992. Since 2008, Edna had been a resident of St. Francis Apartments in Eau Claire. For over 50 years, Edna was an active member of the Full Gospel Mission Church in the Town of Wilson, where she taught Sunday and Bible School. For several years she helped as a youth leader with the Farmer’s Union. Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, reading books with a Christian theme and watching birds, especially cardinals.  

She will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters, Linda and Avery rton of Fall Creek, Lois and Mike Mansur of Augusta; son, Randy and Colleen Lane of Eau Claire; 2 sisters, Mildred McMillan of Dallas, TX, and Dorothy Erickson of Eau Claire; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Victor and Helen Lane of Augusta; 6 grandchildren, Avery (Cathy) Burton, Chad (Polly) Burton, Scott (JoAnn) Mansur, Keith (Stacy) Mansur, Jason ( Heather) Mansur, Michelle (Jay) Lellman; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his parent, husband Roy on Jan. 22, 2003, and siblings, Virginia Raether, Mary Ruth Kuhnert, John and Albert Behrens. . 

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with Mike Larabee officiating. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. 

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Edna’s caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care, St. Joseph’s Hospice, the Fall Creek Valley Care Center and granddaughter Michelle. Your loving care and concern will never be forgotten.
