Deloris Sommerfeldt
Deloris E. Sommerfeldt, 89, of Fall Creek, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.  

Deloris Emma Sommerfeldt, daughter of Adolph and Martha (Moelke) Zich, was born July 14, 1922 in Fall Creek. She was raised in Fall Creek and was a life long member of St. James Trinity Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Elgart C. Sommerfeldt on June 27, 1943 at St. James Trinity. The couple lived briefly on the Ewald Sommerfeldt farm until moving to their present home in Fall Creek. Deloris enjoyed the role as housewife, especially spending time in the kitchen. She kept herself busy, whether it was canning, cooking or baking. She always had something delicious to share with anyone who dropped by.  

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Judy (Dave) Volbrecht of Augusta; son, Butch (Nan) Sommerfeldt of Brooklyn Park, MN; son-in-law, Larry Welke of Fall Creek; sister, Arlene Green of Eleva; sister-in-law, Alma Zich of Fall Creek; 8 grandchildren, Missy (Mike)Donaldson, Troy Volbrecht, Chad (Mary) Sommerfeldt, Katie (Mike) Held, Michelle (John) Beckfield, Brent, Josh and Craig Welke; 6 great grandchildren, Chase, Taylor, Autumn, Samantha, Sydney and Shaylee; also by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgart in Sept. of 2000, daughter, Bonnie Welke in Sept. of 1999 and siblings, Norman and Ervin Zich.  

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek , with Pastor Joanne Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
