Beverly Westlie, 85, of 13701 Park Avenue, Osseo, passed away on Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2012, in the loving care of her family and Black River Memorial Hospice.Â
Beverly Mae Irene Westlie, daughter of Raymond and Irene (Nelson) Hoff was born November 7, 1926, in Gale Township, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. She was raised in the Blair area, where she graduated from Blair High School. She was united in marriage to Helmer E. Westlie on August 25, 1945 in Blair. Â
The couple lived a good share of their married life in Augusta, before moving to Osseo 20 years ago. Over the years Beverly had been employed by the Augusta and Osseo Area Nursing Homes, where she worked in the kitchen at both homes. In the past she had enjoyed her involvement with the Thompson Valley Homemakers Club and the Tuesday morning bowling league at the Sportsman Lanes in Augusta. She also enjoyed baking, crocheting, small quilting projects, reading, sewing and keeping up with her soap operas. Â
She will be deeply missed by Helmer, her loving husband of 67 years; daughter, Audrey (Bill) Englesby of Augusta; son, Ron (Bonnie) Westlie of Eau Claire; 4 grandchildren, Laura Englesby and Nick Englesby both of Augusta, Shelly (Ernie) Bowe and Dan Westlie all of Chippewa Falls; 3 great grandchildren, Lauren(Englesby) Holcomb of Augusta, , Ksenya Englesby of Charlotte, N.C. and Logan Skoug of Osseo; and also by her siblings, Carol Snuggerud of Portland, Oregon, and Raymond “Butchâ€? (Joye) Hoff of The Dalles, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Daniel Westlie and brothers, Harlan, Arthur and Donald Hoff. Â
Private family services will be held at the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta
