William M. Wilkinson-Hurst, “Willyâ€?, 20, of rural Fairchild, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at his home.Â
William Michael, “Willyâ€? was born January 5, 1993 in Black River Falls. He was raised in Fairchild, where he attended Fairchild Elementary School, Osseo-Fairchild High School and Alma Center High School. For the past 3 years he had worked at the Dairy Queen in Osseo, and was presently a shift leader. Willy’s wonderful sense of humor could turn a gloomy day to sunshine. He was a smart young man who had a fond interest in music, especially rap, but also liked classic rock and was known to listen to country music at times. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, hiking, camping, working on engines and riding his 4 wheeler. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was blessed to have had the love of his precious little daughter, Lucy Marie.Â
Willy will be deeply missed by his mother and step father, Lynn Wilkinson-Hurst and Steve Hodge of Hixton; father and step-mother, William and Ann Hurst of Fairchild; daughter, Lucy Marie Wilkinson-Hurst-Sands and her mother, Mollie Sands of Chippewa Falls; 2 sisters, Ashleylyn Hurst, and Hanna Hodge both of Hixton, 5 brothers, Jake Wilkinson, Austin and Ian Hurst all of Fairchild, Ben and Dalton Hodge both of Hixton; grandmothers, Peggy Wilkinson of Fairchild, Peggy O’Leary of Humbird, grandfather, Thomas and Kathy Hurst of Missouri Valley, Iowa; several aunts, uncles and cousins.Â
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Wilkinson and cousin, James Dean Fitzpatrick.Â

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with burial at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the family.
