Donald Mansur
Donald Allan Mansur, 73, of Stanley and formerly of the Augusta area, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, in hospice care at Augusta Health and Rehabilitation.

Donnie, son of James and Marilyn (Polinske) Mansur was born Sept. 5, 1951. He was raised on the family farm in Ludington Township, Eau Claire County. He attended country school in the township and went on to attend Augusta High School.
For several years Donnie worked in Eau Claire at both Toys Salvage and Packerland. He had also operated an auto body shop out of his home in rural Boyd.

Donnie had lived most of his life in the rural Augusta and Boyd area before moving to his apartment in Stanley. Due to his recent illness, since the first week in March he had been a resident of the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation, where he was also in the care of Heartland Hospice.

Donnie was a very unique individual, if you met him just once you probably never forgot him. He had a way of putting a smile on your face then, and again as we remember him now. Donnie had always loved music, playing the guitar and especially playing and listening to country music. Over the years he looked forward to hunting and fishing with family and friends, and equally forward to participating on several horse shoe leagues. In later years when he wasn’t active any longer, he found contentment by spending hours in his apartment watching the birds outside.

Donnie will be deeply missed by his sons, Donald Horgen of Ladysmith, Andrew Mansur of Chippewa Falls, Jessee Dircks of Stanley and their children; 5 brothers, James Jr. “Jimmy” Mansur of Stanley, Michael (Lois) Mansur of Augusta, Wesley Mansur of Stanley, Jeffrey Mansur of Augusta, Joseph Mansur of Eau Claire; 3 sisters, Kathleen (Dean) Ginther of Taylor, Cindy Mansur of Eau Claire, Susie Mansur of Augusta; uncle Philip Polinske of Stanley; aunt Joyce Pilgrim of Cadott; several nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father Jim in 2006; mother Marilyn in 2023; son David Mansur in 2020; granddaughter Claire Dircks in 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.

The family would like to thank the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation and Heartland Hospice for the service they provided Donnie while he was in their care.
